Phytase, also known as inositol hexaphosphatase, is a protein and sugar binding enzyme. Phytase can decompose phytic acid to produce inorganic phosphorus and inositol, which greatly improves the utilization rate of nutrients by organisms. Natural phytase is widely found in plants, animal tissues and microorganisms. Phytase has extensive research value in grain production and animal husbandry.

Under certain environmental conditions, phytase can decompose sodium phytate (inositol hexaphosphate) to produce inorganic phosphorus and inositol derivatives, under acidic conditions, inorganic phosphorus and ammonium molybdate color reagent reaction, produce blue molybdenum blue substance, which has a characteristic absorption peak at 700nm, by determining the content of inorganic phosphorus, the activity of phytase can be calculated.

 

Note: Before the experiment, it is recommended to select 2-3 samples with large expected differences for pre-experiment. If the absorption value of the sample is not within the measurement range, it is recommended to dilute or increase
