Storage	Store at -20 °C for one year. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. The lyophilized antibody is stable at room temperature for at least one month and for greater than a year when kept at -20°C. When reconstituted in sterile pH 7.4 0.01M PBS or diluent of antibody the antibody is stable for at least two weeks at 2-4 °C.
Product Detail	background: The PAF receptor binds platelet-activating factor (PAF) and is thought to mediate its action via a G protein that activates a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system. PAF is a chemotactic phospholipid mediator that possesses potent inflammatory, smooth-muscle contractile and hypotensive activity. It has been implicated as a mediator in diverse pathologic processes, such as allergy, asthma, septic shock, arterial thrombosis, and inflammatory processes. The PAF receptor is induced by granulocyte macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF), interleukin-5 and n-butyrate. A diverse range of compounds act as PAF receptor antagonists; these may be useful pharmacologically. Function: Receptor for platelet activating factor, a chemotactic phospholipid mediator that possesses potent inflammatory, smooth-muscle contractile and hypotensive activity. Seems to mediate its action via a G protein that activates a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system. Subunit: Interacts with ARRB1. Subcellular Location: Cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. Tissue Specificity: Expressed in the placenta, lung, left and right heart ventricles, heart atrium, leukocytes and differentiated HL-60 granulocytes.
