Subcellular Location: Membrane; Single-pass membrane protein. Tissue Specificity: Expressed at significant levels only in a single epithelial cell population, the proximal tubular epithelial cells of the kidney. Diffusely expressed in various carcinomas originating from kidney, colon, lung and breast.
