 Mycoplasma genitalium is a sexually transmitted pathogenic bacterium that lives on the ciliated epithelial cells of the human urinary and reproductive tracts. Mycoplasma genitalium was first isolated from the human urogenital tract in 1981 and was identified as a new mycoplasma species in 1983. It occurs more frequently than other common sexually transmitted infections, occurs more frequently in both men and women, and is a recognized risk factor for HIV transmission, affecting gay men and men who have previously received the antibiotic azithromycin. The rate is higher. It causes urethritis in both men and women, and cervicitis and pelvic inflammatory disease in women. Its complete genome sequence was published in 1995. It is 0.58 Mb in size and contains 475 genes. It is the second most common genome sequence after Haemophilus influenzae . A completely sequenced bacterial genome. Mycoplasma genitalium and Mycoplasma pneumoniae share common antigens, resulting in cross-reactivity in most serological experiments.


Mycoplasma genitalium has extremely high requirements on the culture medium and grows slowly, making it difficult to culture. In particular, culture from clinical specimens is less likely to be successful, which makes detection of pathogens in clinical specimens and subsequent isolation and culture very difficult. Since there are no specific serological tests, nucleic acid amplification testing is the only viable option for detecting M. genitalium. The PCR method has the advantages of high sensitivity and specificity, and the detection time is short, and the results can be obtained in just a few hours.


The Mycoplasma genitalium PCR detection kit selects a sequence of the adhesin protein gene After PCR identification, the primer was verified by BLAST to specifically target Mycoplasma genitalium, but at the same time it produced a cross-band of different sizes and easy to distinguish with Haemophilus influenzae, but had no cross-reactivity with the genomes of other organisms. This kit was used to detect 16 species of mycoplasma and 17 species of bacteria with close distribution range or close relationship. Only Mycoplasma genitalium produced a specific amplification band, and Haemophilus influenzae produced a smaller and easily distinguishable band.. It can be seen that this kit is species-specific and can be used for the identification and detection of Mycoplasma genitalium.

生殖支原体PCR检测试剂盒选取了粘附素蛋白基因的一段序列进行PCR鉴定,引物经BLAST验证为特异性靶向生殖支原体,但同时与流感嗜血杆菌产生一条大小不同且易区分的交叉条带,而与其他生物的基因组无交叉反应。使用本试剂盒检测了16种支原体和17种分布范围或亲缘关系较近的细菌,仅有生殖支原体产生特异性扩增条带,流感嗜血杆菌产生一条较小且易区分的条带。可见本试剂盒具有物种特异性,可用于生殖支原体的鉴定和检测。
