Mycoplasma caprine pneumonia grows slowly in vitro and is difficult to cultivate. Its colonies are similar to Other members of the Mycoplasma mycoides family are difficult to distinguish and often have cross-reactivity in serological tests. Therefore, using the PCR method for detection can not only achieve high sensitivity, but also avoid interference caused by other mycoplasmas.

This band can be cleaved by endonuclease ClaI into two fragments of 190 and 126 bp. This kit can specifically detect Mycoplasma capricopneumoniae even when mixed with other bacterial species . It can be seen that this kit is species-specific and can be used for the identification and detection of Mycoplasma caprine pneumonia. .

山羊肺炎支原体在体外生长较慢，较难培养，其菌落与丝状支原体族其他成员不易区分，在血清学检测上也常有交叉反应。因此，使用PCR法进行检测，既可以达到很高的灵敏度，也可以避免其它支原体带来的干扰。

山羊肺炎支原体PCR检测试剂盒选取了基因组内与无氧代谢有关的一段序列进行PCR鉴定，引物经BLAST验证为特异性靶向山羊肺炎支原体，与其他生物的基因组不产生交叉反应。使用本试剂盒检测了14种山羊肺炎支原体菌株，以及27种血缘关系较近的其他丝状支原体菌株，仅有山羊肺炎支原体产生扩增条带（316bp）。该条带可被核酸内切酶ClaI切割为190和126 bp两个片段。即使在与其他菌种（包括其他丝状支原体菌株）混合的情况下，本试剂盒也可特异性检测出山羊肺炎支原体，可见本试剂盒具有物种特异性，可用于山羊肺炎支原体的鉴定和检测。
