Product Detail	STMN3 belongs to the stathmin/oncoprotein 18 family of microtubule-destabilizing phosphoproteins. It is similar to the SCG10 protein and is involved in signal transduction and regulation of microtubule dynamics. Function: Exhibits microtubule-destabilizing activity, which is antagonized by STAT3 (By similarity). Subunit: Interacts with STAT3 (By similarity). Subcellular Location: Golgi apparatus. Cell projection, growth cone. Cell projection, axon. Tissue Specificity: Neuron specific. Post-translational modifications: N-terminal palmitoylation promotes specific anchoring to the cytosolic leaflet of Golgi membranes and subsequent vesicular trafficking along dendrites and axons.
