The detection of chlamydia in animals generally uses the PCR method. PCR is a method of enzymatically synthesizing specific DNA fragments in vitro. It is more sensitive than other methods and has strong specificity. It can determine the type of bacterial infection. The detection speed is fast and can be completed in only two or three hours.

 

This kit designs primers for the gene sequence of a transcription factor of animal chlamydia. It can specifically identify animal chlamydia and has been verified by BLAST to have no cross-reaction with other biological genomes. This kit detected 17 closely distributed bacteria and found no non-specific signals. It tested 253 ruminant DNA samples and obtained 2 animal chlamydia positives, which was confirmed by the sequencing results. 兽类衣原体（Chlamydia pecorum），或称兽类嗜衣原体/兽类亲衣原体（Chlamydophila pecorum），也有称为反刍动物衣原体、牛羊亲衣原体、牛羊衣原体，是一种属于衣原体科（Chlamydiaceae）的原核生物，专性细胞内寄生，原先被归类为鹦鹉热衣原体血清型2（Chlamydia psittaci，serotype 2），于1992年正式确立为新物种；宿主主要是反刍动物，如：牛，绵羊和山羊等，也可以感染树袋熊和猪。其感染可以导致严重的疾病，包括：多发性关节炎、肠炎、角膜结膜炎、肺炎、子宫内膜炎，以及偶尔出现的脑脊髓炎，也有报道出现发烧、乏力、脓性阴道分泌物、轻度阴道炎等症状。人工感染时还可引起子宫炎和输卵管炎。兽类衣原体与尿路感染、不育和流产有关。兽类衣原体的致病机制尚不清楚，在健康反刍动物的消化道和生殖道也经常检测到其存在。

对兽类衣原体的检测一般采用PCR法。PCR是一种体外酶促合成特异性DNA 片段的方法,灵敏度高于其他方法，特异性强，可以确定感染的细菌种类，检测速度快，只需两三个小时即可完成。

本试剂盒针对兽类衣原体一个转录因子的基因序列设计引物，可以特异性识别兽类衣原体，经BLAST验证，与其他生物基因组没有交叉反应。本试剂盒检测了17种分布较为接近的细菌，未发现非特异性信号；对253个反刍动物的DNA样品进行检测，获得2个兽类衣原体阳性，为测序结果所证实。可见本试剂盒适用于兽类衣原体的检测和鉴定。
