Mycoplasma mycoides is a group of infectious mycoplasmas, including six members: Mmc, MmmLC, MmmSC, Mycoplasma leachii, Mcc and Mccp . These members cause a variety of diseases in ruminants ranging from mild to severe and fatal.

Mycoplasma capricolum parasitizes goats , sometimes found in sheep and cattle. Mcc can cause contagious agalactia, polyarthritis, and lung disease in lambs, and Mccp can cause contagious pleuropneumonia in goats. Genetic analysis shows that Mcc and Mccp are very closely related, and they are closely related to Mycoplasma leachii; these three are relatively distantly related to other members of the Mycoplasma mycoides family and can be divided into two groups. groups.

When detecting members of the Mycoplasma mycoides family, cross-reactivity often occurs with serological methods, and The sensitivity is low, and in vitro culture methods are time-consuming. PCR is a highly sensitive and specific detection method that only takes a few hours to obtain results, which can effectively make up for the shortcomings of the above two methods. Compared with the ordinary PCR method, the quantitative PCR method can not only accurately quantify, but also be more convenient to operate and less affected by environmental pollution.

This kit compares the genomes of several members of the Mycoplasma mycoides family. , a common region was selected as a target to specifically identify the Mycoplasma capricolum group, including: Mcc, Mccp, and the closely related Mycoplasma leachii. It was verified by BLAST that there was no cross-reaction with the genomes of other organisms. This kit detects a total of 68 strains of six members of the Mycoplasma mycoides family, Mycoplasma capricolum 24 strains and 7Mycoplasma leachii strains produced specific signals, while the remaining members, as well as 7 other mycoplasma species and 21 bacterial species with similar distribution ranges, did not produce specific signals.
