Golgi protein extraction The kit provides a complete set of reagents suitable for Golgi apparatus extraction from various animal cells and solid soft and hard tissue samples. The protease inhibitor mixture contained in this kit prevents protein degradation by proteases and ensures the extraction of high-purity proteins.

The Golgi apparatus (Golgi bodies) is an organelle composed of many flat vesicles with the main function of secretion. Also known as the Golgi apparatus or Golgi complex; the Golgi apparatus is a highly polar organelle formed by several flat vesicles stacked together. It is often distributed between the endoplasmic reticulum and the cell membrane, and is arcuate or hemispherical. The convex side facing the endoplasmic reticulum is called the forming face or cis face. The concave side facing the plasma membrane is called the mature face or trans face. There are some large or small transport vesicles on both the cis and trans sides. In cells with polarity, Golgi apparatus is often distributed in large numbers in the cytoplasm of the secretory end. Because it looks very much like the smooth endoplasmic reticulum, some scientists believe that it evolved from the smooth endoplasmic reticulum.

The enzymes in the Golgi apparatus mainly include glycosyltransferases, sulfo-glycosyltransferases, oxidoreductases, phosphatases, protein kinases, mannosidases, transferases and phospholipases. . The main function of the Golgi apparatus is to process, classify, and package proteins synthesized by the endoplasmic reticulum, and then send them to specific parts of the cell in categories or secrete them out of the cell.

The protein extracted by this kit can be used for downstream protein research experiments such as Western Blotting, protein electrophoresis, immunoprecipitation, ELISA, transcription activity analysis, Gel shift gel retardation experiment, enzyme activity determination, etc.

The protein extracted by this kit is an active protein with a natural protein conformation.

This kit does not contain EDTA and is compatible with downstream applications such as metal chelation and chromatography.
