The Total Protein Extraction Kit from Firm-walled Microorganisms can extract total protein from various firm-walled microorganisms. Including various difficult-to-lyse yeasts, filamentous fungi, Gram-positive bacteria, spores, microalgae, insect eggs and other samples with thick cell walls. The extraction process is simple and convenient and does not require mechanical grinding or organic solvents. The kit contains a protease inhibitor mixture and a phosphatase inhibitor mixture, which prevents protein degradation by proteases and ensures the extraction of high-quality proteins. The protein extracted by this kit can be used for downstream experiments such as SDS-PAGE electrophoresis detection, Western blotting, and gel retardation experiments. Approximately 5-10 mg of protein can be extracted from each milliliter of bacterial liquid. Protein quantification was performed using BCA or Lowry method. This kit does not contain EDTA and is compatible with downstream applications such as metal chelation and chromatography.
