Streptococcus G protein (r-SPG) Molecular formula: Molecular weight: 28 kDa Physical properties and indexes: Appearance: …………………… Freeze-dried powder; Buffer system before freeze-drying is 5 mM PB (pH 7.4) Source: …………………… E. coli
Isoelectric point: ………………… 4.79 Purity: …………………… ≥95% (SDS-PAGE detection) Description: Streptococcal Protein G (SPG) is a protein in the cell wall of types G and C Streptococcal. It specifically binds to the Fc segment of immunoglobulin IgG without affecting the Fab segment's ability to bind to antigen molecules. It can not only bind to all the subclasses of human, mouse and rat IgG, but also to the IgG of guinea pig, rabbit, goat, cow, sheep and horse, which is obviously superior to the IgG of human and mouse Staphylococcus aureus protein A. In addition to IgG binding domains, natural SPG also has albumin and cell surface binding domains. Recombinant SPG removes albumin and cell-surface binding domains to reduce nonspecific binding, and it has greater affinity than natural SPG and SPA. Purpose and Description: As a scientific research reagent, SPG has a wide range of applications, such as the separation and purification of IgG from serum, the purification of monoclonal antibodies, the separation of antigen-antibody complexes, and the labeling. The combination of SPG and agarose gel can prepare affinity fillers for antibody purification, and separate and purify different subtypes of IgG from serum, ascites, cell culture supernatant, etc. Storage conditions: -20℃, light moisture-proof sealed dry.
