Haemophilic Mycoplasma is a type of bacteria that lives on the surface of red blood cells and has no cell wall. It was once named Hemobartonella ) and Eperythrozoon were reclassified as mycoplasma based on 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis. There are two types of haemophilic mycoplasmas that have been found in cattle: Mycoplasma wenyonii and Candidatus Mycoplasma haemobos.

Mycoplasma vizoni was formerly known as Eperythrozoon wenyonii), also known as Mycoplasma wensenii, Mycoplasma wensenii, Eperythrocytosis wensenii, Eperythroblast wenyi, Eperythroblast bovis, Haematococcus wensenii, Eperythrocytosis wensenii, so far only Found in cattle. Blood smear test results show that it is free in plasma or attached to the surface of red blood cells. It is widely distributed around the world and can be associated with Anaplasma, Babesia and Theileria form a co-infection. In most cases, cattle have no clinical manifestations after infection, and sometimes symptoms such as anemia, fever, hind limb edema, nipple swelling, sudden drop in milk production, and weight loss occur. It is difficult to completely remove the infection and may carry the bacteria for life. Blood-sucking arthropods are generally believed to be the route of transmission.


There is no suitable in vitro culture method for Mycoplasma villoni, and the detection method is generally used Giemsa-stained blood smear method. The detection sensitivity and specificity of the blood smear method are relatively poor, and it is easily interfered by the preparation method and other components in the blood. The PCR method is more convenient and more sensitive, and the detection time is short, and the results can be obtained in just a few hours.


This kit performs PCR identification of a DNA polymerase gene. The primers have been verified by BLAST to specifically target Mycoplasma villoni and are not specific to the genomes of other organisms. Sexual cross-reaction. 18 species of mycoplasma with similar hosts and close relatives were selected for detection, and there was no cross-reaction. This kit is species-specific and can be used for the identification and detection of Mycoplasma villoni.

维容氏支原体旧称维容氏附红细胞体(Eperythrozoon wenyonii),也有称为温氏支原体、文氏支原体、温氏附红细胞体、维氏附红细胞体、牛附红细胞体、温氏血虫体、文氏附红血球体,目前为止仅在牛体内发现。血涂片检测结果显示,其游离于血浆或附着在红细胞表面,在全世界广泛分布,可与无形体(Anaplasma)、巴贝虫(Babesia)和泰勒虫(Theileria)形成共感染。多数情况下牛在感染后无临床表现,有时会出现贫血、发热、后肢水肿、乳头肿胀、产奶量突降和体重减轻等症状。感染后很难完全清除,可能终身带菌。一般认为吸血性节肢动物是其传播途径。

维容氏支原体尚无合适的体外培养方法,检测方法一般采用吉姆萨染色的血涂片法。血涂片法的检测灵敏度和特异性均比较差,容易受到制片方法和血液里其他成分的干扰。而使用PCR法检测则更为方便,且灵敏度更高,检测时间短,仅需几个小时即可获得结果。

本试剂盒针对一个DNA聚合酶基因进行PCR鉴定,引物经BLAST验证为特异性靶向维容氏支原体,与其他生物基因组无特异性交叉反应。选取相似宿主和较近亲缘关系的18种支原体进行检测,均无交叉反应。本试剂盒具有物种特异性,可用于维容氏支原体的鉴定和检测。
