Mycoplasma agalactiae is a mycoplasma A bacterium in the genus that does not have a cell wall surrounding its cell membrane and is therefore not affected by many common antibiotics such as penicillins or other beta-lactam antibiotics that target cell wall synthesis. Mycoplasma Agalactiae is the second mycoplasma known to humans after Mycoplasma mycoides and was first isolated in 1925.
Mycoplasma agalactiae is widely distributed globally and is responsible for 90% of goat and Nearly 100% of outbreaks of ovine infectious agalactia syndrome are caused by the pathogen, which affects both sexes. In addition to agalactia, it can also cause mastitis, arthritis and keratoconjunctivitis. The biochemical characteristics of Mycoplasma agalactiae are as follows: it lacks glucose and mannose metabolism and the ability to hydrolyze arginine and gelatin, has phosphatase activity, can reduce tetrazole under anaerobic and aerobic conditions, and has the ability to adsorb blood cells.
The detection of Mycoplasma agalactiae can be done through serological methods, or genetic methods, for detection. Mycoplasma bovis and Mycoplasma agalactiae are very similar in phenotype and genetics, and share a lot of common antigens and epitopes, so serological methods can distinguish them. It is more difficult; the two are also very similar in some metabolic pathways, which also limits the application of biochemical diagnostic methods.
The Mycoplasma agalactiae PCR Detection Kit selects an unknown functional gene for PCR identification , the primers were verified by BLAST to specifically target Mycoplasma agalactiae and did not produce specific amplification bands with the genomes of other organisms. This kit was used to detect 41 strains of Mycoplasma bovis or Mycoplasma agalactiae. Compared with three other pairs of primers for Mycoplasma agalactiae, this kit identified the most accurately and had the best specificity. 对无乳支原体的检测,可以通过血清学方法(如免疫荧光法和免疫印迹法),或遗传学方法(如PCR扩增或寡核苷酸互补配对), 进行检测。牛支原体(Mycoplasma bovis)和无乳支原体在表型和遗传基因上都有很高的相似性,且拥有非常多的共同抗原和表位,因此血清学方法区别二者较为困难;二者在一些代谢通路上也很相似,因此也限制了生化诊断方法的应用。
无乳支原体PCR检测试剂盒选取了一个未知功能基因进行PCR鉴定,引物经BLAST验证为特异性靶向无乳支原体,与其他生物的基因组不产生特异性扩增条带。使用本试剂盒检测了41个牛支原体或无乳支原体菌株,与另外三对无乳支原体引物平行对比,本试剂盒识别最为准确,特异性最好。可见本试剂盒适合用于无乳支原体的鉴定和检测。
